APL Young Achiever Award 2014. Steve Pidgeley who joined our Apprenticeship Scheme in 2012 has won the APL 2014 Young Achiever Award. He collected his Award on March 12th at the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) Awards 2014 held in the City of at Gibson Hall, Bishopsgate. He attended the event with 8 other members of staff and Managing Director Norman Hambrook.
Steve said, “I was bowled over and couldn’t quite believe it. More than anything I want to thank my mentor and Team Leader Matt Willmott, who has encouraged and helped me so much.”
While many apprentices showed great aptitude and excellence in their work, Steve proved very quickly that despite having no previous experience he is a natural in the field of landscaping. Additionally, he has a very high standard of workmanship and goes the extra mile to ensure he gets everything right.
Norman Hambrook, Managing Director said, “It is great that youngsters entering into the landscaping business are getting recognition because they are the industry’s future. Steve rightly deserves this award because from the outset he showed determination to learn and displayed outstanding dedication to his work, rapidly becoming a valuable member of the team.”
