Early love of plants
During his formative years he attended Pershore College of Horticulture near Worcester and was part of the team that designed the college’s show garden at Chelsea, winning a Silver Banks Flora. In his childhood home he was fascinated by a sunken Victorian Greenhouse, which was probably the catalyst to his original ambition to become an architect. However, he also nurtured an early love of plants and as he grew up he became more and more interested in gardens and gardening.
His passion for antiques and architecture drives his style, while enjoying sourcing new and exciting materials. From outside oak seating areas and open fireplaces he loves to bring the ‘inside’ out. He successfully extends your home into your garden to create another living space for you, your family and friends.
He loves to source and give new life to unusual objects. This includes a large Elephant’s head for Marwell Zoo, Winchester, which is now peering from a large shrubbery at the zoo’s entrance!
