How our outdoor decorations help to brighten up the dull and often very dark of December! What a joy it is to see the twinkling and sparkling lights lining our streets and houses. There are so many choices of Christmas lights and decorations, many of which are LED or battery operated which does away with having to find extensions and plugs. This is particularly useful for outdoor lights.
While many of us put up our decorations in early December some still like to wait until a couple of days before Christmas to put up the tree and deck the hall with boughs of holly! This means the tree is looking fresh and has hardly dropped a needle! Also with holly and ivy its best to wait until a few days before the big day as both will look withered and dried if you put up too long in advance. Of course for your door wreath it will stay fresh looking.
Do remember to water your Christmas tree if its a real tree. While Nordman firs and Fraser firs have very good needle retention it is still good to keep a little water in the bottom of the tree holder -providing its water tight of course. Do visit Hambrooks of Titchfield where you will find many fascinating indoor and outdoor Christmas lights. Happy Decorating!
